ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Police said over 1 pound of cocaine was recovered in the arrest of a Rockford man who was the subject of a drug investigation.
According to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office, narcotics detectives received information on sales of large amounts of cocaine in the Rockford area.
On Wednesday, November 5th, investigators arrested Ariel Galindo, 40, in the area of 23rd Avenue and 12th Street. Authorities said they found over 500 grams (1.1 lbs) in Galindo's vehicle.
He faces felony charges of possession with intent to deliver 400-900 grams of cocaine.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
