CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- The city of Clovis is taking time to honor its past.

On Wednesday, community leaders unveiled a new plaza at 3rd Street and Sunnyside Avenue.

It's named after Peg Bos, the first woman to serve as mayor of Clovis.

Bos was also the force behind reviving the Clovis Big Dry Creek Historical Society and Museum, where she served as president for 20 years.

Bos was also in attendance for Wednesday's ceremony along with several family members.

You can also catch her weekly column called "Let's Talk Clovis" in the Clovis Roundup newspaper.
