The Women's Premier League (WPL) retentions are finally here with all five franchises making some bold calls ahead of the mega auction before the 2026 season. Some big names were retained while there were quite a few surprises with UP Warriorz shocking everyone with their strategy.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals were the only two teams to use the full quota and retain five players, which also included an uncapped star.
