(WHTM) -- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that over a million Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles have been recalled.
According to the NHTSA, Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles that are equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system.
NHTSA says a software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse, which increases the risk of a crash. These vehicles also fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard.
In total, there are 1,024,407 vehicles included in the recall, and 100% of them are estimated to have the above defect.
