INDIANAPOLIS -- Four nonprofits will receive grants from the Duke Energy Foundation to help support local hunger relief efforts.

According to a news release from the company, shareholder-funded grants will be given to four nonprofits in central Indiana. The nonprofits include: • Ecumenical Assembly of Bartholomew County Churches - $2,500 for holiday food program • Columbus Regional Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence in Bartholomew County - $5,000 for household supplies and grocery gift cards • Boys and Girls Club of Boone County - $6,000 to purchase food for after-school programs • Open Doors of Washington Township in Hamilton County - $15,000 to purchase food and holiday meals for the pantry.
