FARGO — The Fargo Public Library has announced the winners of its “Color Our World” Library Card Design Contest, which drew 128 entries from artists of all ages.
The contest, part of the library’s 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, invited kids, teens and adults to submit original artwork celebrating creativity and reading. Library staff selected finalists in each age category, with the public voting to choose the winners:
Kids (12 and younger): Savannah Wohlers, whose bright, kaleidoscopic design spells out the word “READ” in bold, colorful, patterned letters.
Teens (13 to 18): Maria Kamrud, whose illustration shows a young reader surrounded by books as a rainbow streams from her open pages into a sunny, cloud-filled sky.
Adults (19 and older): Nikki Nelson, who created a playful design f
