Make burgers, not war, say restaurants supporting the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton campaign this month.

While many United Way campaigns around Ontario take part in an ultimate burger battle that crowns local people’s choice winners, Sarnia-Lambton takes a friendlier approach with its November burger fundraiser.

For the second year, several restaurants in Sarnia, and other Lambton County communities, have cooked up specialty burgers to sell during November with $2 from each going to the local United Way campaign.

Burger fundraisers for the United Way began in Thunder Bay a few years ago and Sarnia held one last year for the first time.
