CORVALLIS, Ore. - Benton County is set to honor local veterans with a Veterans Day Recognition Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 10, at the Kalapuya Building. The event will feature the reading of a Veterans Day proclamation and remarks from County leaders.

According to Benton County, the ceremony will also include the presentation of two national awards from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. County Administrator Rachel McEneny will receive the Patriot Award, while Board Chair Nancy Wyse will accept the Seven Seals Award on behalf of Benton County.

The event will be held from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and will include a variety of speakers, including COL Paul Dyer of the Oregon National Guard, and Mark Lapinskas, Benton County Lead Veterans Service Officer.
