SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - A Northeast Nebraska woman has died after three cars were involved in a collision over the weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 1, the South Sioux City Police Department was called to the intersection of Highway 77 and 5th Avenue after receiving reports of a collision involving three vehicles. This puts the crash near Klasey Park in South Sioux City.

The preliminary report reveals that a GMC Yukon SUV violated a traffic control signal and collided with a Toyota Highlander SUV. The Yukon and Highlander then reportedly collided with a Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

The driver of the Yukon is identified as 52-year-old Griselda Vargas-Hernandez of South Sioux City, who died at the scene.
