ORANGE, Ohio -- Patrick O’Callahan, who has served as deputy chief of police for the past year, has retired from the Orange Village Police Department, ending his 31-year career with the department.

An Oct. 31 news release from the department stated that O’Callahan has submitted, and the department has accepted, his retirement effective that date.

“Mr. O’Callahan is no longer affiliated with the Orange Village Police Department in any capacity,” the release stated.

Mayor Judson Kline also announced O’Callahan’s retirement at the Village Council meeting Wednesday (Nov. 5).

Police Chief Michael Roberts said he had no additional comment regarding O’Callahan’s retirement.

Roberts noted in an email that O’Callahan’s duties are being handled “by a combination of our team.”
