The Boston Red Sox will need to dish out some serious dough this offseason — and that’s just if they want to retain their own players.

ESPN’s Kylie McDaniel put together a list of contract projections for the top free agents in Major League Baseball, which included three names who spent last season playing at Fenway Park:

3B Alex Bregman: 5 years, $160 million ($32M AAV)

RHP Lucas Giolito: 2 years, $32 million ($16M AAV)

LHP Steven Matz: 2 years, $17 million ($8.5M AAV)

Bregman, 31, is among the most valuable free agents in all of baseball, and likely will secure the long-term deal he has coveted for so long because of it. McDaniel ranked him at No. 4, pointing to his consistency with the bat and lack of questions about his defensive identity.
