ACCORD, N.Y. — Audrey Dennin and Samantha Schneller scored two goals each as Rondout Valley High’s field hockey team blanked Section 1’s Bronxville 6-0 in a first-round game in the Class C state field hockey tournament at Rondout Valley High on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
The Ganders (17-1) also got goals from Scarlett Kormondy and Madison Shanley.
Rondout Valley assists came from Josie Kozack, Ella Morse and Dennin.
Following a scoreless first quarter, the Ganders scored four goals in the second quarter to take a 4-0 halftime lead.
The Ganders dominated play with a 22-2 advantage on shots on goal and a 7-0 lead with corners. Rondout goalie Sienna Sergio made two saves.
