BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) - Jeff Passan and Ken Rosenthal are reporting that Cleveland Browns Chief Strategy Officer Paul DePodesta is leaving the organization to take over the baseball operations department for the Colorado Rockies.

DePodesta was hired by the Browns in January of 2016.

Under his watch, the Browns have posted an overall record of 56-99-1 with two playoff appearances (2020, 2023) and one postseason victory (2023).

He is taking over a Rockies team that has endured seven consecutive losing season, finishing the 2025 season with a Major League worst record of 43-119.

DePodesta has an extensive baseball background having previously served as general manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
