Police also found meth inside stolen pick-up truck
Central Alberta Mounties got their man with help from the suspect himself, who was found sleeping inside a stolen ride.
RCMP based out of Sylvan Lake were summoned to 51st Avenue and 51st Street in Eckville, Alta., west of Red Deer, where a passerby reported a vehicle stopped in a driving lane around 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

“Upon arrival, police observed that the pick-up was stolen, running, with a driver sleeping behind the wheel,” Alberta RCMP said in a news release issued Thursday.
The suspect exited the truck and was arrested but the pick-up was left in drive, so it slowly rolled forward and struck a police car, RCMP said.
Methamphetamine was also found in a subsequent search of the stolen vehicle.
