For a second straight day, the Seattle Mariners have added a potential bullpen option to their 40-man roster.

The Mariners have claimed right-hander Ryan Loutos off waivers from the Washington Nationals, the team announced Thursday. It comes a day after Seattle picked up righty Cole Wilcox for cash in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays.

A product of Washington University in St. Louis, Loutos checks in at 6 foot 5 and 240 pounds, and will turn 27 before the 2026 season. A native of Elk Grove Village, Ill., Loutos attended Barrington High School, the alma mater of Mariners manager Dan Wilson.
