Honolulu firefighters are battling a two-alarm fire that broke out in Makaha this morning, sending one woman to the hospital.
The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a call just before 9 a.m. for a building fire on Kili Drive in Makaha. At least eight units responded, along with an investigator and Honolulu police.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene and treated a woman estimated to be in her 60s for serious burns and smoke inhalation.
She was taken to a hospital emergency room in serious condition.
HFD said the fire was extinguished at about 10:45 a.m.
Social media posts show heavy smoke billowing from an upper-floor condo at Makaha Valley Towers Home, which is located on Kili Drive.
