YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Cardinal Mooney two-sport standout Johnathan Brenner, with eight varsity letters, has always pushed to be the best.
"You always strive for excellence, and I want to be that for the younger kids," Brenner said. "I want them to look up to someone and be like, this is the guy. This is who I need to follow, this guy that does things right the right way."
Through nine regular-season games on the football field, Brenner has a team-high in catches, yards and touchdowns on offense. Then on defense, he's racked up eight tackles for loss, two sacks and an interception return touchdown in one of the biggest moments of the season in a win over South Range.
