Tom Gandolph grew up at the baseball field. At a young age, he was introduced to the sport through his father, Dave Gandolph, who has coached for 50 seasons at various schools in Central Indiana. His first memory of the game was watching his father coach from the dugout and the concession stands at Center Grove High School.
"And that's why I think I've had this love for baseball my entire life," Gandolph said. "I'm 48 years old now. Been doing this game in and out of it for well over 40 years. Because that was my first impression of having fun and having to go to a baseball field."
For the past five years, Gandolph has turned his passion for the sport into a part time business creating custom wooden bats for players across Central Indiana. Tom Gandolph has always been at a baseball field
