PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An Arizona-based artist is drawing attention for her custom, hand-drawn paper maps that feature original illustrations!

Jen Urso is the founder of Steady Hand Maps, specializing in custom, hand-drawn paper maps and map design. Urso says she started by accident but has since grown it into a thriving business.

“The first map I decided I wanted to do on my own was this cactus map because I had been creating a lot of maps of like the city, structures and businesses and things like that. I thought it would be interesting to look at the city through the botanical lens,” she explained.

Urso’s personalized work has been featured in major publications like the Wall Street Journal.
