DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers claimed right-handed pitcher Jack Little off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday.
The Tigers also reinstated six players from the 60-day injured list: right-handers Beau Brieske, Jason Foley, Jackson Jobe, Ty Madden and Reese Olson, and left-hander Sean Guenther.
Thursday was the deadline to make option decisions and reinstate players from the injured list. The next round of roster shuffling is due in two weeks , when the Tigers must set their roster ahead of the Rule 5 Draft.
Little, 27, was born in Kentucky and played high school ball in Las Vegas. He was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fifth round of the 2019 draft out of Stanford University, where he is the program’s all-time saves leader.
