Travelers at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) should be prepared for disruptions as air traffic is reduced nationwide as a result of the ongoing government shutdown.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) just announced that it's requiring the 40 busiest U.S. airports, including MSP, to cut flight capacity starting Friday, initially by 4% before rising to 10%.
The Metropolitan Airports Commission, owner and operator of MSP, says it's actively monitoring impacts related to FAA-mandated flight reductions.
"As of now, MSP is experiencing normal operations," the commission said in a statement on Thursday. "However, if reductions are enacted, travelers should be prepared for flight disruptions at MSP and other airports across the country. Travelers should check with their
