OLDHAM COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, one person was arrested for allegedly smuggling illegal immigrants.

Texas DPS Troopers pulled over a vehicle Tuesday on I-40 in Oldham County.

Troopers said four alleged illegal immigrants inside the vehicle fled on on foot. They were found a short while later.

Troopers said 12 illegal immigrants were found in total in the vehicle. One man from Houston was arrested.
