WOODSTOCK, N.Y. — Family of Woodstock is bringing its Turkey Trot to the town this Thanksgiving, according to an announcement.

The event, set for Thursday, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m., consists of a 5K run, following a route through the town of Woodstock. While the non-profit has organized a Turkey Trot in New Paltz for over 21 years, this is the first in its namesake town.

The course will begin at Andy Lee Field on Rock City Road, heading towards the Glasco Turnpike intersection. Participants will turn east towards Plochmann Lane before looping back to the finish line.

The town of Woodstock will be closing Glasco Turnpike for between 30 and 40 minutes during the race to “ensure runner safety,” the announcement said.
