WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Justice Department is said to be probing Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser over a foreign trip, the New York Times reported on Thursday, citing sources.

The investigation into Bowser is being handled by the U.S. attorney's office in Washington and is over a trip paid for by the government of Qatar, the newspaper reported.
