HURRICANE, Utah (ABC4) — The dog that bit a five-year-old child will be euthanized for public safety, according to Hurricane City.
On October 25, 2025, a pet dog bit a five-year-old boy in Hurricane, Utah, causing significant facial injuries. The child was transported to the St. George Regional Hospital for medical treatment.
The dog was taken into custody by Hurricane City Animal Control and was under mandatory quarantine for a period of ten days.
According to the Hurricane City Police Department (HCPD), the dog was observed by a licensed veterinarian, who saw that it exhibited aggressive behavior. The dog was impounded by the city.
