NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A North Little Rock veteran's life has now changed for the better.

On Thursday afternoon, Antonio Yancy received a new car as part of Progressive Insurance's Keys to Progress vehicle giveaway event, which happened at the VFW Post 9095 in West Little Rock.

Yancy had previously served in the Air Force from 2016 to 2020 and recently overcame homelessness. He had previously had to rely on others and public transportation to get places.

However, for Yancy, receiving the new car means more than just having a way to get from point A to point B.

He explained how it gives him a renewed sense of pride and independence.

"It feels like a movie... I want to thank God," Yancy described.
