OMAHA, Neb. —
A solar storm could make the aurora borealis visible in parts of the United States, including Nebraska.
Since a coronal mass ejection is on its way to Earth, the colorful auroras should be visible between Thursday evening and Friday morning.
The following states may be able to see the northern lights: Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and northern parts of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
Those wishing to see it should had to a dark, rural area away from city lights.
