GREENBELT, Md. —
Maryland and Prince George's County filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration over the diversion of the new FBI headquarters from Greenbelt to Washington.
Two years ago, the General Services Administration awarded Maryland the contract for a new FBI headquarters in Greenbelt . Congress appropriated more than $1.1 billion specifically for this project through multiple laws between 2016 and 2024.
The lawsuit also cited commitments made by the state and the county to secure the FBI headquarters, including more than $300 million for transportation infrastructure, parking facilities and other improvements.
