OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - An Omaha athlete is moving beyond her sport to help other women, especially Black women spend more time concentrating on their health.
Brittany Parker is a 7-time national champion boxer. She’s moved on to the professional ranks. Winning her first bout.
“One of my coaches told me you’re a great woman you’re a great athlete but you need to be mentally tough. You need to strengthen your mind. That resonated with me I didn’t know how,” said Brittany.
That statement took Parker on a journey outside of the ring, where she says she discovered mindfulness, meditation, and yoga.
