Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown is partnering with The Christ Hospital Network of Cincinnati and Miami University in Oxford to create a path for future generations of physicians to train for a medical career in Ohio, the university announced in a news release on Nov. 5.
The educational collaboration aims to help solve a projected shortage of 1,200 primary care doctors in Ohio over the next 10 years, based on estimates from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
