DETROIT (Gray News) - A recall has been issued for hundreds of thousands of Ford Bronco SUVs over a loose bolt on seats inside the vehicle.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration , the recall affects some 2021 to 2023 Broncos, a projected 163,256 vehicles, because they may have a loose bolt in both front seats.
Officials said if the bolt comes out, the seat might not fully protect occupants in a crash.
“The front seats may have a loose or dislodged seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt,” the company shared in the recall. “A seat with a dislodged bolt may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.”
Dealers will replace the recalled parts for free.
