LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Bethany House of Laredo and HEB teamed up to bring Thanksgiving meals to homebound residents across the city.
On Thursday, November 6, the organizations distributed 2,000 plates to people who are unable to leave their homes. The Laredo Organized Volunteers for the Elderly (LOVE) nonprofit also participated in the effort.
The plates included traditional Thanksgiving fare with turkey and mashed potatoes.
On Friday, November 7, HEB will host its annual Thanksgiving Feast of Sharing at the Sames Auto Arena from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“There’s going to be a lot of events tomorrow, there’s gonna be a lot of entertainment. We partnered up with schools, and we also partnered up with colleges like LCC and TAMIU. There’s also gonna be entertainment,” said Adlu Gonzalez of HEB. “T
