Danny Rohl insists the Rangers job is no tougher than he expected after his side were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Roma in the Europa League at Ibrox.

The 36-year-old head coach’s tenure began with a 3-0 defeat away to Brann last month and, although William Hill Premiership wins over Kilmarnock and Hibernian followed, the Light Blues were brought back to earth by a 3-1 Premier Sports Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic at Hampden Park on Sunday.

Rangers’ limitations were again laid bare against an accomplished Roma side as Matias Soule and Pellegrini had the visitors two up after 36 minutes.

The Serie A outfit ran out well-deserved winners to inflict a fourth straight Europa League defeat on Rangers and leave them bottom of the 36-team table.
