GLASTONBURY, Conn — There’s a rumble and harmonious hum from a pair of UTVs’ engines that has helped to find a rhythm for area veterans. Open Doors Outdoors is now eight years into its outreach program that strives to get veterans outside, offering them various adventures.
“Our mission is to take veterans and their families into the outdoors for reconnection, healthy activities and healing,” said Davey Edwards, a Marine Corps veteran, who founded Open Doors Outdoors in 2018.
Open Doors Outdoors operates on a five-mile loop in South Glastonbury and is grateful to the homeowners who help to make their initiatives happen.
