No one is saying that Jarrod Wesley helped the University of Kentucky Wildcats break a shooting slump early in Tuesday's season opener against Nicholls in Rupp Arena, but his $10,000-winning halfcourt heave couldn't have hurt.

Wesley, of Somerset, was selected at random to take the shot as a means of entertaining the crowd during a timeout. His successful heave went viral online afterward, particularly locally, and Wesley came home from the game with a lot more than just a good time enjoying a Wildcats win.
