The Mesa City Council approved a contract for a construction manager at risk for the rebuild of Fire Station 205 at their recent meeting.
The vote passed 7-0 as part of a multi-item consent agenda at the Nov. 3 meeting. The $9,407,484.72 contract will be awarded to FCI Constructors Inc. to complete the project.
Council documents say this is a continuation of a Public Safety Bond Initiative from 2022 that included the rebuild of the existing fire station at 730 S. Greenfield Road.
“The proposed station will contain three drive-thru apparatus bays, dorm rooms, office spaces, kitchen, dining room, dayroom, job/task conditioning areas, and associated operations-based functions,” council documents stated. “Rebuilding the station will allow the Mesa Fire and Medical Department to continue to
