A cordon was put in place with a window also seen smashed after reports of a 'stabbing' near a bonfire on November 5.

Witnesses reported seeing a helicopter and multiple emergency services vehicles called to the scene after crowds gathered for an unofficial bonfire in Beswick.

One woman claimed there were two ambulances, two police cars and multiple vans in attendance before Mountfield Walk was taped off with a blue police tent also erected at the scene.

Detectives could seen combing the scene taking photos amid unconfirmed reports of a stabbing. Two men, one in their 40s and one in their 20s, received non life-threatening injuries.
