LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville is returning to normal operations after the UPS plane crash disrupted flights and shut down runways.
On Wednesday, the airport was operating with only one of its three runways, but the other two were up and running by Thursday evening, allowing flights and the airport to get back on track.
"Things are kind of back to normal," Shane Satterfield said, highlighting the stark contrast to the many delays and cancellations that occurred on Wednesday.
Many travelers were concerned that the backups would spill into Thursday's travel day.
"I wasn't expecting it to be this dead today, actually. I was kind of surprised," said Myles Lewis.
"I was expecting it to be really busy today, and so I prepped to get here a little bit earl
