TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Just a day after Branford won state gold in Winter Haven, another familiar face to the FHSAA Final Four is heading south hoping to do the same.
Thursday afternoon, the Chiles Timberwolves loaded up the bus on Tallahassee’s northside to depart for Polk State College hoping to defend their state crown in the program’s third straight state semifinal appearance.
“It’s been our goal all season. We also know it’s hard to recreate something like we had last year, but this team has exceeded all expectations,” said head coach Kaitlyn Jahn of her team’s resolve to repeat. “We’ve talked about from the beginning of the season how the target has really been on our back and this team has worn the target really proudly.
