FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A Fresno teen got a perfect SAT score, receiving congratulatory remarks from Mayor Jerry Dyer.

Dyer congratulated Braj Sekhorn on Thursday in a Facebook post, saying that he received a perfect 1600 on the SAT. Which Dyer says is a distinction earned by fewer than 1% of test-takers nationwide.

According to Dyer, Sekhorn also helps his father run their family computer recycling business.

Dyer also said that Sekhorn gives back to the Fresno community by volunteering and teaching at the Sikh Institute of Fresno.

"Braj’s humility, leadership, and generosity reflect the very best of Fresno’s youth. We’re so proud of you, Braj — a shining example of hard work, humility, and excellence!" Dyer said.
