As the sun set on another season at Cedar Point, the “Roller Coaster Capital of the World” seemed to be showing some cracks in its veneer, with Today in Ohio podcasters Laura Johnston and Leila Atassi finding too many closures during visits in recent days
“So we were in line for the Wild Mouse ride, which is like a kiddie coaster, which seems to always have really long lines, and they had to evacuate the ride,” Johnston said. “Also got pulled off of the Ocean Motion...I mean, I guess if you go to the amusement park regularly, you know, this happens. But the rides were shutting down.”
Atassi noted that she “kind of felt like maybe a lot of the seasonal workers had already headed home for the year.” She said Millennium Force was down, along with a lot of the other thrill rides, “which is
