DELTA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - Two men were injured in a bush plane crash after their aircraft experienced mechanical difficulty.

According to the Delta County Sheriff's Office, the plane crash happened on Sunday afternoon in north Delta. After arriving at the scene, emergency crews found a single-engine yellow bush plane resting on its nose against a ravine wall, about 100 yards from a residence.

The airplane was occupied by a flight instructor and a student pilot. One of the men was able to get out of the aircraft, and the second was helped out of the wreckage by residents who came over to assist after the crash, the sheriff's office stated.

The occupants were identified as Montrose man John England, 44, and Carbondale resident Cleve Williams, 57. Both were transported to Delta Health H
