HARRISBURG — A partnership between the Saline County Sheriff’s Office and the Harrisburg School District is giving school security staff expanded training opportunities while bringing several retired officers back into service as reserve deputies.
Sheriff Whipper Johnson said the arrangement strengthens coordination between the district and law enforcement, formalizing a structure already in place since the start of the school year.
