PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Part of Cranston Street in Providence was closed Thursday night as police and fire crews responded to a car crash and structure fire on Buffalo Court.
Deputy Assistant Fire Chief Robert Butler told 12 News that a pickup truck crashed through the fence of a Buffalo Court home just after 7 p.m., bringing down power lines and striking the gas meter on the side of the house before coming to a stop. He said that side of the house then caught fire.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital, according to fire officials. The two residents who were in the home were not seriously hurt, but also received medical attention.
