EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The Texas School Nurses Organization has named an Ysleta ISD member as the 2025-2026 Texas School Nurse Administrator of the Year.

Sylvia Belmontes, Ysleta ISD's director of Student Health Services, was honored with the award during the TSNO conference on Nov. 1 and 2.

“We commend Ysleta ISD for fostering an environment that values and supports exceptional nursing leadership,” TSNO Executive Director Becca Harkleroad said. “Ms. Belmontes’ achievements reflect the district’s commitment to student success & comprehensive health programs that make learning possible for every child.”
