Democrats in California are riding high after voters overwhelmingly accepted Proposition 50 on Tuesday, the ballot measure that will create five new Democratic-leaning districts in an attempt to box out Republicans and help flip the House in 2026.
“[Voters] were very clear about the fact that they rejected Trump's lawlessness and his efforts that have made groceries and other costs higher, and they want people who are hungry to have food and people who are sick to have affordable health care,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta said. “They don't want militarized American cities and don't want masked ICE agents foaming around in communities and neighborhoods. And also don't want tariffs making costs higher.”
In a wide-ranging interview Wednesday evening, Bonta spoke with Spectrum News
