The West Columbia Police Department is collaborating with Walmart, Lexington County School District Two, and charter schools within the City of West Columbia to host a food drive on Sunday, Nov. 9, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Walmart located at 2401 Augusta Rd. in West Columbia.

Officers will be outside the Walmart on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and ready to accept nonperishable donations and unexpired food items that will go directly to the homes of West Columbia school children in need.

Donated items requested include nutritious snacks, canned meats, canned soups, canned vegetables and fruits, as well as canned pasta, sauces and beans.
