Former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer revealed the final conversation he had with Marshawn Kneeland before the 24-year-old’s tragic death.
On Thursday morning, the horrific news broke that Marshawn Kneeland died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a chase with police. Kneeland was in his second NFL season and had scored a touchdown on a blocked punt in the Cowboys’ game against the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night.
According to the Frisco Police Department, authorities had been chasing Kneeland’s vehicle just after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. They later located the vehicle, but Kneeland apparently fled on foot before they discovered his body at 1:31 a.m.
