After hearing songwriter Sara Bareilles perform the song “Salt Then Sour Then Sweet” from Come See Me in the Good Light , it’s difficult to believe she is relatively new to the poetry of Andrea Gibson, the subject of the Apple Original Films documentary that follows the poet after their cancer diagnosis.

“I came to Andrea’s poetry only about a year before I got to meet them and got invited into the world of this film, which has been a truly life-changing experience,” Bareilles said at Deadline’s Sound & Screen: Film event.
