Chuck Kesey, co-founder of the Springfield Creamery , died Nov. 6. Sue Kesey, the creamery's other co-founder and Chuck's wife, died in August . Chuck was author Ken Kesey's brother.

Springfield Creamery, which announced Chuck's death, described him as "a big personality and a beloved character" who was a major part of the local counterculture movement. According to the creamery, Kesey died in his Eugene home surrounded by family at age 87.
